Foundation boosts community security with motorcycle donation
In a significant move to bolster grassroots security across local communities, the Rabi and Raphael Care Foundation has handed over motorcycles to security operatives and strengthened collaborations with traditional leaders and law enforcement agencies in Ekiti State.
The initiative—part of the Foundation’s festive season outreach—reflects a holistic commitment to peace, safety, and community-driven development.

Building Bridges with Traditional Rulers
The Foundation conducted courtesy visits to traditional rulers across Òkè-Àkò, Ipao, Irele, Ijowa, and Itapaji, reinforcing the vital role of traditional institutions in fostering unity, stability, and local progress. These engagements strengthened community leadership ties and emphasized collaboration at all levels of governance.
Strengthening Coordination with Security Agencies
To deepen security cooperation, the Foundation met with key security stakeholders including:
- The Ekiti State Commissioner of Police in Ado-Ekiti
- The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Ikole
- Military posts in Òkè-Àkò and Itapaji
These visits were designed to enhance coordination, mutual understanding, and integrated approaches to community safety.
Engaging Local Security Networks
The outreach also included dialogue with local hunters and community-based security operatives. Discussions centered on intelligence sharing, joint patrol strategies, and community-led security models—bridging the gap between formal agencies and grassroots protectors.

Motorcycles for Mobility & Rapid Response
A key component of the initiative was the handover of motorcycles to security operatives serving Òkè-Àkò, Ipao, Irele, and Ijowa. These vehicles are set to enhance patrols, surveillance, and rapid response—especially in remote and hard-to-reach areas—ensuring quicker and more effective security coverage.
Commissioning Upgraded NSCDC Office
Further supporting security infrastructure, the Foundation renovated and commissioned the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Office in Òkè-Àkò. The upgraded facility is expected to improve operational efficiency and coordination within the Ikole Division.

A Message of Collective Responsibility
Through these layered engagements, the Rabi and Raphael Care Foundation highlighted the importance of collective action, trust, and partnership in creating safer, more resilient communities—particularly during the festive season and beyond.
The Foundation remains steadfast in its mission to advance social cohesion and strengthen community-security collaboration throughout Ekiti State.
